Ron arrived at
KRNB early in 2006. Since that time, he has catapulted the Quiet Storm
to the Number One most listened to Radio Show in all of Dallas/Fort
Worth, among all Adults, 25 to 54 years of age. His show is currently
the Number One most listened to Adult R&B program. Ron had produced
exactly the same results at Pittsburgh R&B Giant, WAMO FM.
Ron's
history in the entertainment industry also includes Number One ratings
status at major FM Rock stations in Atlanta (WKLS FM) and Seattle (KZOK
FM). He's also served in management posts, as Program Director (WAMO
AM, Pittsburgh) and Production Director (WBZZ FM, Pittsburgh). Ron's
radio career began at WDVE FM, and his first job in TV, on the set of
PBS's Mister Rogers.
In 1997 Ron founded a multi-media production
group, Chavis Sterling Media Partners, which he
manages to this day. Ron is also a freelance Radio and TV Commercial
writer/ director/ announcer, with an impressive client history
including: M&M/Mars, Sunkist Soda, Daimler-Chrysler, NAPA Battery,
Universoul Circus and David Copperfield. His credentials include
performance for clients in England, Ireland, and Lebanon.
Ron Chavis is
a Silver Microphone Award winner, and a two time winner of the
prestigious Telly Award (TV commercial producer).
